Adventure in Darkness Ch.1 Summary

The story of Adventures in the  Darkness chapter one is was about the adventure that the three children had. Tommy is the main character that arranged the dangerous plan to escape what they called prison and he also convinced Jerry to come along since he was the only one who  and complained that they would get caught along with being punished. Jerry who besides being the one who wines, appeared to be teased a lot liked being called fat by Tommy and Ernie. Ernie is said to be a genius because he took advanced calculus at the age of 11 which is hard to believe. The story takes place in the spring in New England in a place where the three friends called it prison. Tommy made a plan to escape their so-called prison and to cross the Atlantic Ocean to explore. Ernie said that it could take seven hours to make across if they went at night so they made their first steps to escape. They tied what I believe were quilts to get down the window which was easy for everyone except for Jerry who more sacred than the rest. After that they headed towards the boathouse to escape by boat. When they got there they got on and they set sail. They were almost crushed by a freighter but barely made it alive and they were later welcomed by US Coast Guard who told them they were in Boston’s heavy trade zone. When the Coast Guard boarded their boat they were surprised to learn they were blind.
